OBI7 is a Russian-language book summary platform — a subscription-gated library of 499 book extracts, each condensed to a 20-minute read. The client needed a content platform for Russian-speaking readers: a way to access the core ideas from non-fiction books without the full length. Categories cover business, personal finance, psychology, geopolitics, science, and fiction.

The platform needed three concerns addressed together: a content workflow the operator could manage without developer involvement, authenticated subscriber access, and full-text search across a growing Russian-language library. The editorial model — each summary handcrafted, not generated — required a CMS that could handle Cyrillic content at scale and a hosting setup that could serve it quickly to a geographically distributed audience. [draft — inferred from site features; verify with operator for actual discovery notes]

An authenticated reading platform: Sanity for editorial management, Clerk for reader authentication, Supabase for data persistence, and Pagefind for full-text search across the library. Hosted on Cloudflare Pages with media on Cloudflare R2. At launch the library held 499 book summaries covering 300 authors across 10 categories — 113 hours of reading content indexed and searchable.

[operator to supply: subscriber count, launch metric, or engagement outcome if shareable] The platform launched with a full library and a working subscriber access flow. The editorial philosophy — hand-curated summaries, not automated extracts — is stated on the site.
